In 2018, the team develop a totally new concept of single-seater that was presented coinciding with the 10th anniversary of UPC ecoRacing. The ecoRX compared with its predecessor was the highest complexity jump in UPC ecoRacing’s history. The three most important improvements were the Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) with aluminium honeycomb panels monocoque; full aero package (front wing, side wings, rear wing and underbody); and 4-wheel-drive (4WD), in other words, an independent electric motor in each wheel.
